After sharing stages with Dark Tranquillity and Moonspell on two extensive European tours throughout 2024 and 2025, Germany’s melodic death metal powerhouse HIRAES is set to return to the road once more! Known for their ferocious energy, anthemic hooks, and the commanding presence of vocalist Britta Görtz, HIRAES have quickly earned a reputation as one of the most exciting live acts to emerge from the European metal scene in recent years.
The band continues to build on the triumph of their latest album Dormant (Napalm Records, 2024), which showcased their signature blend of melodic melancholy and crushing power, solidifying their place among genre heavyweights. Following their acclaimed performances alongside Dark Tranquillity and Moonspell, HIRAES are now ready to headline with full force – bringing their intense and immersive sound to the forefront.
Adding to the excitement, Britta Görtz recently made a guest appearance on “Tränenpalast”, the latest single from Kreator’s brand new album “Krushers Of The World”, released on Halloween 2025. German-based melodic death metal formation HIRAES – featuring former members of DAWN OF DISEASE and CRITICAL MESS – strikes back with their hotly-anticipated sophomore studio album! Dormant will furiously kick off the new year, slated for release on January 26, 2024 via Napalm Records.
Compared to their lauded 2021 debut, Solitary, it's immediately evident that HIRAES did not only grow within their sound due to countless live appearances, but have invested more time and energy into developing their sophisticated songwriting and production, leaning further into their own unique sound profile. Due to the use of varying keys and sonic elements, Dormant is undoubtedly fresh without sacrificing the nuances that caused their first album to connect so successfully with fans.
With their very first offering, HIRAES already created an exciting new melodic death emergence, built upon a brutalized vocal attack, intense melodies and aggressive guitars. On Dormant, HIRAES flexes their own trademarks in an intensified way, ranging from versatile drumming, catchy riffs and hymn-like melodies to enthralling soundscapes and an impressive vocal onslaught by singer Britta.
>From the epic intro of album opener "Through The Storm" - which bursts into a thunderous melodic death metal assault - to fast-paced ragers like "We Owe No One", HIRAES delivers a truly versatile album performance! The record’s lyrical themes explore the struggles and resilience of society amid modern challenges, and inspires listeners to find calmness and strength by focusing within themselves - ultimately culminating in the monumental title track "Dormant".
Dormant was mixed by Jens Bogren and Ricardo Borges, and was mastered by Jens Bogren at Fascination Street Studios in Sweden. HIRAES' second studio album is a stirring, intense and dynamic death metal affair that is both heavily brutal and dark, yet full of melodic melancholy. "NOPREACHERS" is a German Melodic Death- and Modern-Metal Band based in the South-East of Bavaria.
Established in 2018, the band started working on their own original Music, influenced by the Hymns of Metal Monoliths like "In Flames", "Trivium", "Bleed From Within“, "Orbit Culture“ and "Children Of Bodom".
Their musical style is defined by fast, precise and aggressive rhythmic elements, paired with epic lead guitar melodies, brutal - yet diverse - vocals and massive bass lines.
