"'Clouded Retinas' is about my struggle coming to terms with my vision loss and diagnosis of Stargardt disease," erklärt Sänger David Simonich. "I asked my friend Will Ramos to hop on the song not just to make it sound sick but also to spread awareness of degenerative diseases and disability. With Will holding it down for today's deathcore, I tried to showcase my influences from Nate Johnson and Vincent Bennett because the song feels modern yet nostalgic at the same time."

"'Seed' is about the constant doubt I feel in every facet of life and how I feel we all share that together," sagt Sänger Ricky Hoover. "Imagine how it would eat away at you if so-called 'eternal life' were real? Sounds like torture to me: more hell than heaven."
Gitarrist/Sänger Chase Wilson erzählt von der musikalischen Reise: "This was the first song we started writing for what may or may not be a new album," hints Wilson. "I think we've improved our songwriting in leaps and bounds once again, which we already did from the EP to 'The Burden Ov Faith', and the reaction to this song live on our tour with Nekrogoblikon backs that up.
"'Seed' has one of our best choruses yet, and we use it around melodeath riffs and brutal deathcore breakdowns. Actually, we even put it on top of the song-ending breakdown, where it fits perfectly—after already playing it standard and even blasting through it to give it another flavor. This song has every flavor of Ov Sulfur and then some!"

Es war ein gutes Jahr für die italienische Band Benthos: Nachdem sie Ende 2024 beim Label InsideOutMusic unterschrieben hatte, veröffentlichte die Band ihr zweites Album „From Nothing“, das mit seinen 12 Tracks eine fesselnde Vielfalt an modernem Progressive Metal bietet. Das Album wurde von Kritikern und Fans gleichermaßen positiv aufgenommen und garantiert, dass es „anders als alles andere ist, was man dieses Jahr hören wird“, wie The Prog Report schreibt. Während sie die neuen Songs bei ihrer Release-Show am 1.
