09.06. ENVY OF NONE – "That Was Then, This Is Now" (Kscope/Edel)
Alex Lifeson , Andy Curran, Maiah Wynne and Alf Annibalini
Neue EP – vorbestellbar: https://EnvyOfNone.lnk.to/TWTTIN
Returning after their breakout 2022 self-titled debut, Envy of None reveal their new EP, ‘That Was Then, This Is Now, out 9th June via Kscope.
The all-star line up of Alex Lifeson , Andy Curran, Maiah Wynne and Alf Annibalini, continue their exponential growth of their trippy, edgy atmospheric sound that took the world by surprise. The new EP is made up of very adventurous tracks that consist of remixes of ‘Dumb’ and ‘Dog’s Life’. Alongside ‘Lethe River’ and ‘You’ll Be Sorry’ only previously released on the deluxe edition of their debut record. Following these, the EP culminates with a newly recorded track ‘That Was Then’. The song undulates with progressive dexterity and is a perfect example of the unbound writing ability this incredible band showcase.
All tracks were written, arranged, recorded and produced by Envy of None.
Andy Curran comments: “Very happy to say that chapter 2 for Envy of None has officially started. We have a brand new song called “ That Was Then” which marks the first new track we’ve recorded since our debut album release almost a year ago.” He continues: The new EP has that song sandwiched between some really trippy remixes that we had some serious fun creating. We’re also looking forward to sharing all of these songs in 360 surround sound to take it one step further. Stay tuned for more cool news around the corner for EON…”
‘That Was Then, This Is Now’ remains in canon with the band’s sound of their eponymous debut whilst also pushing the boundaries and is a fantastic prologue to the next chapter of Envy of None’s story as the band have been in the studio creating new music and remixes. An essential addition to their repertoire.
‘That Was Then, This Is Now’ track listing:
1 – Lethe River
2 – You’ll Be Sorry
3 – Dog’s Life (Remix)
4 – Dumb (Der Dummkopf Remix)
5 – That Was Then
Alongside this vinyl release the band are also a part of this year’s Record Store Day with their new reissue of their self titled album available as a picture disc on April 22nd. Find your local Record Store dealer here and pick up a copy.

23.06. THE PINEAPPLE THIEF – "How Did We Find Our Way – 1999 – 2006" (Kscope/Edel)
8-Disc Deluxe Box Set – vorbestellbar: https://thepineapplethief.lnk.to/HDWFOW
Video: https://youtu.be/ybreyjyQHQw
Kscope are proud to present, the first in a series of deluxe book-sets cataloguing The Pineapple Thief’s tremendous output. ‘How Did We Find Our Way – 1999 – 2006’ specifically focuses on the bands’ humble beginnings with Abducting The Unicorn in 1999 through to Little Man in 2006.
Regarding the deluxe book-set, Bruce Soord comments:
“This box set covers the first 5 albums and all the associated bonus material from when I started The Pineapple Thief in 1999 through to 2006. Opening the old sessions was like opening a very large window into my former self. This box set has taken a strange emotional toll. Where did the drive, the dedication, the obsession come from? Did I take it too far? How on earth did my girlfriend stick around through it all to eventually become my wife?”
Soord continues:
“Opening up the sessions I could remember how I would spend hours experimenting. I was like a child, everything seemed to be a new discovery. So here it is. The first epoch of The Pineapple Thief.”
All of the albums in ‘How Did We Find Our Way – 1999 – 2006’ were remixed from their original sessions, featuring 80 minutes of rare bonus material retrieved from Bruce’s archives. The total running time of the collection amounts to almost 8 and a half hours of music, which is offered in high resolution stereo, Dolby Atmos and 5.1 DTS-HD surround. Additionally, Steve Kitch has mastered all the stereo mixes.
In recalling the original stems to create new mixes, Bruce states “the Atmos mixes in this box set could be played in anything from a huge theatre with 100 speakers, in an enthusiasts home setup with perhaps 8 speakers through to something much more straightforward such as a soundbar or even streamed to headphones.” - a spectacular audio treat for fans.
At the centre of this package is a 64-page book featuring previously unseen, rare photographs from Bruce’s personal archive along with superb liner notes from Anil Prasad and newly conducted interviews with Bruce.
This beautiful, limited edition release will be a one-time pressing.
